$200,000 Endowment Fund Goal, Current Status
Financial supporters of the Orono Bog Boardwalk have made giant strides toward endowing the boardwalk at the level of $200,000. As dipicted in this pitcher plant figure they have raised just over $140,000, (~71% of the goal) in support of the endowment, which will provide a stable annual income for the operating account.
Nearly $36,000 has been raised by individuals who sponsored sections, a total of 179 sections to date. Over 300 sections are still available for sponsorship at $200 each. Also, we have applied for a challenge grant of $15,000 that we hope will provide an additional avenue to raise the remaining needed funds.
